Disability Attorney Britney McDonald was born in Arkansas and moved to Texas to attend Baylor University where she graduated in 2009, Cum Laude. She then attended South Texas School of Law, where she was active in Phi Alpha Delta, the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Society and Alternative Dispute Resolution Associations. Britney also enjoyed her participation in South Texas College of Law’s Mediation Law Clinic with Judge Bruce Wettman.

After receiving her law degree (J.D) in 2012, Britney began her legal career in Waller County interning for the Waller County D.A.’s office. She is also a certified Texas mediator and has mediated several cases in The Honorable Judge Dale M. Gorczynski’s court.

During her career Britney has worked on both workers’ compensation and personal injury law claims. She represented clients in over 80 hearings, wrote several Workers’ Compensation appeals, and won many clients their benefit payments. Britney also represented many of her clients in depositions and negotiated numerous personal injury settlements in her client’s favor.

Britney also has experience reviewing business acquisition and employment contracts, advising clients with medical practices through acquisitions by larger medical groups. Britney has her Series 7 and 63 licenses, and has spent time working in financial services helping clients to accumulate and protect assets through retirement and estate planning strategies, asset management, college funding, and business planning.

As an associate attorney for Marc Whitehead & Associates LLP, Britney works within the four areas of the practice; social security disability, long & short term disability, veteran’s affairs, and mass tort litigation. She represents many of our clients before Administrative Law Judges in Social Security Hearings and successfully appeals adverse decisions to the Appeals Council in Baltimore and in federal district court.

A large component of her work consists of writing ERISA and non-ERISA long term disability insurance administrative appeals and representing clients who have been denied disability benefits in state and federal court.
